Bachelor viewers had the psych-out of the year last night when Jason Mesnick, the single father Bachelor, chose Melissa Rycroft as his fiance and then later changed his mind and chose Molly Malaney!
The finale episode started off more boring than usual with Jason going back and forth in his mind about how great both women are. His family was boring, his insights were boring, and it was the biggest anti-surprise of the century when Jason chose Melissa in the end. The only fun part of the episode was DeAnna’s return. First off, what was she wearing? She looked like she was going to an interview. She did not look cute at all. She made a play for Jason’s hand after regretting her decision and Jason basically said “step off bitch.” amazing. I also hated when Melissa turned around and let out a little scream when she was chosen. That was so lame. Also Jason crying like a baby was pretty awesome. So I guess there were a few good moments.
But things got GOOD when After the Final Rose began and almost instantly they revealed that Jason and Melissa’s relationship was not going according to plan. Jason said that in the six weeks after the finale, things were “different” and the “chemistry wasn’t there”. Really??? 6 weeks? This guy is a huge dbag.
Melissa came out and pretty much regulated…I was pretty proud of her. She called him out for being a huge dbag, and called him a bastard. It is pretty ridiculous that he made a decision to MARRY one girl, and then changed his mind a mere 6 weeks later. This guy wanted have his cake and eat it too…or he wanted to eat his cake and some other cake…or he wanted to eat some cake and get some ass on the side. whatever. She ended her segment by saying don’t call me, don’t text me….and bam, she was gone.
Molly Melaney. Wow. So, going to school in Michigan, of course I have a lot of friends from Grand Rapids and surrounding areas. I was recently shocked to find out from a friend that one of our other friends, who we all consider to be relatively straight-edged (she’s married now, too), dated a drug dealer in high school. I was NOT shocked to find out that this drug dealer cheated on my friend with, who else, Molly Melaney. That girl gave me a bad vibe from the beginning.
So Molly returns to the show, at first alone, and talks to Chris about the past weeks. Apparently, Jason flew Molly out to see him in California while he was dating Melissa, but she didn’t let on to that fact during the show. She said she hadn’t spoken to him, but “of course” her feelings never changed. I kind of had a feeling she knew what was going on, but then when Jason let the cat out of the bag, she did seem geuinely shocked. She kept looking back and forth between Chris and Jason in shock, but eventually gave in to Jason and agreed to “see where it goes”. Personally I think she should have bitch-slapped him and ran out of the room, but that’s just me.
Overall, quite the spicy ending to a pretty good season. All the women in the world who adored Jason at the beginning no doubt think he’s a scumbag now. I of course knew this all along. Sorry Tye, your dad’s a loser.
