After the Rose Part II

March 5, 2009 · 1 Comment

As if there needed to be another chapter in this saga, the characters from The Bachelor got together one more time for After the Rose Part II. The point of this episode was really for Molly and Jason to defend themselves against all of us critics.

Molly complained that her morals and character were being questioned. No offense to Molly, but I was questioning her character way before this incident. Mostly because she was pretty annoying on the show. I do feel slightly bad because she is feeling a lot of heat and she just does love the guy I suppose. But consider this…Before the final episode, I heard a “rumor” that Jason chooses Melissa and then breaks up with her for Molly. I thought, “There’s no way that’s true. hahhaha. never.” And we all know the outcome of that. If there are rumors flying around that Molly and Jason visited many times in the 6 weeks that he was supposed to be “trying to work it out” with Melissa, then isn’t there a very large chance that those rumors are true??

I don’t think Molly and Jason will last for long. Despite my negative feelings about her, I still think she seems cooler than Jason. She’ll realize one day soon, when there are no longer “dream dates” and trips to New Zealand, that the most adventurous thing in her future is taking Ty to Disney World.

ABC also announced the Bachelorette which to no surprise was Jillian, cast-off from this season’s bachelor. Jillian is one of the most down-to-earth girls I’ve seen on the Bachelor or Bachelorette and I really look forward to watching her!

American Idol Results

No surprise that the three chosen from this last group were Jorge Nunez, Lil Rounds, and Scott McIntyre. I’ll be honest when I say that I’m not enthralled about watching any of these people perform again, except maybe Jorge. Yeah, scratch that….he’s pretty good. But he’s got to get rid of the creepy stare.

Here were the others chosen for the wildcard round:

Von Smith – EEk. not a fan of this guy.

Jasmine Murray- hooray! She’s awesome. Can’t wait to see her again.

Ricky Braddy- I think he was actually pretty good. I don’t think he’ll make it into the top 12 because of his lack of star quality, but he’s a great singer.

Megan Corkery- NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! not a fan of the butt swinger.

Tatiana del Toro- are you freaking kidding me??????? this must be a joke season. and seriously what is that girl wearing. I kind of think they just want to see her get crushed again.

Matt Giraud- MY MAN!!!!!!! this was the best choice the judges made all night. this guy deserves to be up there.

Jessie something- really? back to being dissapointed. BORING.

Anoop Desai- MY OTHER MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOORAY ANOOP DOG!!!

Luke Loves Me

March 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I was shocked and ecstatic to receive an email last night from the winner of Bromance himself. Yes, that’s right ladies. Luke Verge. Read it and weep. His buddy found my Ode to Luke on the blog, sent him the link, and of course he loved it:) He said he even peed in his pants a bit (just a few drops).

Of course I sent him a few questions and can’t wait for the answers! What I do know is that Luke is still buddies with Brody and the crew, and that Luke and I would make beautiful funny babies together.

American Idol Last Semi-Finalist Group

March 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Last night the final semi-finalist group performed, and overall I thought it was a pretty dreary crew. Not only that, but I think I disagreed with the judges on almost every performance which is unusual (me & Simon are of like minds). There were a few highlights and a lot of lolights….Here are some:

Call me a total insensitive bitch, but I couldn’t help from laughing when the blind guy got escorted in during the opening scene. I know…I’m horrible. But I’m just being honest. It reminded me of Blinkin from Robin Hood, Men in Tights.

First up was Von Smith, who, to my total shock and surprise, the judges loved. I thought Von was HORRIBLE. Screechy, annoying, and horrible. I seriously could not believe they loved him so much. Was i watching a different show?

Taylor Vaifanua was next singing No One by Alecia Keys.  She had a few weirdish head movements and breaths throughout the performance. She’s got a good voice but over all nothing special- just an OK version of a great song.

Aex Wagner-Trugman started off good enough, but overall was pretty much karaoke. Although I think he’s hilarious I highly doubt he will advance in this competition. I hate to say it, but if the kid looked a little less goofy, he’d get taken a lot more seriously. When the judges came down on him, he looked like he was going to cry.

Arianna Afsar sang some song I’ve never heard of, but you could tell that she has just an amazing voice. Personally I think this girl is great and she should definitely make it to the next round. But based on the son I’m not sure she will. I think the judges were dissappointed about this as well. They know she has an amazing voice but may not make it through. I hope so!

Ju’not Joyner was alright, sang Hey Delilah. He’s got a pretty good voice but didn’t wow me.

Kristen McNamara is a questionable one. Vocally, I think she’s awesome. She clearly has an amazing voice and was on some Nashville Star competition (which clearly I didn’t watch). But personality wise, she’s kinda flighty. She has a delayed reaction to every question she gets asked and just doesn’t seem to know what’s going on. Props to her though for having some meat on her bones and still being gorgeous. delayed reaction.

Nathanial Marshall….eeeek. I HATE MEATLOAF (the band not the food)!!!!!!

Scott MacIntyre , the blind guy. Ok, i know. You are cringing at me right now. But he kind of creeps me out!!! I think he looks like a cross between Blinkin and Sloth from Goonies. And, really, I’m annoyed that the judges love him and I just don’t think he’s that good. I think he’s getting a lot of points for the disability and he’s going to make it through because of it. I’m a horrible person.

One of my favorites of the night was Jorge Nunez. he is AWESOME. Great voice. his face is kinda scary though, a little too dramatic. He’ll go through for sure. Lil Rounds was another that I just did not love, and the judges totally loved. I don’t get it? Was I watching AI on not enough sleep? Paula and I were totally on the same page though when she said “I think we’ll be seeing you in more Lil Rounds.” Way to go Paula! That was funny. Totally thinking the same thing. The others of night were not worth mentioning in my opinion, although there was one cute blond girl I think might get through.
