American Idol Wildcard Round – HOORAY FOR TOP 13!!!!

I was SO excited for the Wildcard round as most of my favorites were in the second-chance group.

First up was Jesse Langseth who sang Tell me Something Good. This girl to me is so boring. I was shocked that she got let back in to the Wildcard round and I almost fell asleep again in the two minutes that she sang.

Matt Giraud…THANK GOD Matt was let back into the Wildcard round because he is THE BOMB. I really think he’s the next Justin Timberlake and deserves a spot in the top 12 more than anyone else.

Megan Joy Corkery- WHAT IS THE DEAL? Ok….I don’t think Megan is bad persay, I agree that she’s got a unique voice and with a little refinement she could be pretty good. But do I think she’s top 12 worthy?? Absolutely not!!! I really don’t understand why the judges love her so much. It’s like I’m watching someone else.

Von smith- The theme of Von’s performance was boy. He looked like a scared little boy and he sounded like Boy George.

Jasmine Murray- AMAZING! This girl could be in the top three of all contestants. She sang Christina Aguilera and in my opinion did an amazing job. I completely agree with Simon when he said that the rest of the judges didn’t give him enough credit. She was da bomb.

ricky braddy-I think Ricky is pretty underrated and that he did an awesome job. He had much more personality this time.  It sucks because in my opinion all the great people got cut and all the weird sucky fan favorites got moved on, so there’s not enough spaces now for all the really good people. they shouldnt have left it up to usa so early on.

Tatiana del Toro- Ok, as I was watchin this episode, I wrote down “is it just me or did Tatiana majorly rock the puerto rican accent in the pre-song schpeal?” I’m so glad that Paula totally called her out because she was RIDICULOUS! I think her whole drama queen thing didn’t work so she thought she might go the Puerto Rican route because, hey, it worked for Jorge.  I was also not a huge fan that she repeated the song and I really think I was right yesterday when I said they just wanted her back so they could crush her dreams again.

Anoop-Dog Desai- Boy I love this guy. He’s such a little dork but so cute! I was a little bummed that he sang the same song as he did in Hollywood week since they showed a lot of it then, but he did do a great job and he’s just so freakin cute. I will say at some points he looked a tad scary, like I’m going to kill you if you don’t put me through.

And now for the final three in the top 12….Jasmine Murray gets pulled up first and I kinda hada feeling they were going to pull a psych-out on her. They made it sound like she was going home and then BAM told her she made it in. No surprise there….she totally deserved it.

They told Ricky Braddy that he didnt have enough personality to make it through. I think that’s a little bit of a shame. Even though I didn’t love him when he first performed, I really saw tonight that he had an amazing voice. Afterwards they pulled up Megan and Tatiana together and Paula awkwardly delivered the results that Megan was going through.It was very awkward. We saw the whole Tatiana-break down thing and the judges had to take a second to calm that psycho down.

And here’s where things get messed up. Damn my DVR for not understanding that American Idol is not over yet!!!!!!! But of course I frantically did some Googling and found out the results. Matt Giraud, my favorite, made it through. thank GOD. But, oh, what about Anoop???? He was my second favorite! And the judges pull another doozie and make it the top 13…Anoop is in!!!!!!!

I think the judges made a great decision and I’m SO MUCH MORE excited to watch the season again. I really felt like all the crappy people made it through and the best people were cut….now that they’re back….get ready for a great Season 8!
